Want to know who’s making the magic happen?
Meet our amazing band members below!

Shehera Vega Sanchez
A powerhouse vocalist from Bergen op Zoom with a strong background in musical theatre. Passionate, driven, and born to perform, Shehera channels her love for Shania Twain with an authentic energy that lights up the stage. With her vibrant voice and natural stage presence, she brings country-rock classics to life like no other.

Hans van Terheijden
Hans is a true veteran of the trade. At just four years old, he was already banging on pots and pans, and later went on to study percussion. Active in music since the age of 15, he became the singer of Axitt, touring with the band and appearing on radio and television. Still, his passion for drums never faded. Due to a visual impairment that made performing on stage more challenging, Hans returned to the drums and has since played with bands such as Rebel, Vintage, and Sasquatch. As the founder of Don’t Be Stupid, he’s now fulfilling a lifelong wish: “One more time to really go for it as it can only go UP from here!”

Jack van Loenhout
Starting out as a classical and electric guitarist, Jack soon found his true calling on the bass. A dynamic player with a rich background in both tribute acts and original projects, Jack has laid down the groove for tributes to Herman Brood (Broot), Elvis Presley (Elfish & The Fishbones), Beth Hart (Beth Heart), and U2 (The Real Thing). Versatile across genres, Jack is known for his ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ stage performance. He has also thrived with bands like The Next Thing and MissBehaviour. With a deep love for “Any Man of Mine”-style passion, Jack brings unstoppable energy to every performance—leaving audiences certain that he’s “Still the one” to watch.

Nick Leurs
Music is Nick’s second mother tongue. As a kid he played the organ with his grandfather, later he mastered the accordion, and today he rocks the piano with the best Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band in the Benelux: The Boss Brothers. He’s also a much-requested stand-in musician, jumping in with top acts like the Guus Meeuwis Tribute Band.
Completely enchanted by Shania Twain’s music, Nick brings energy, passion, and groove to every stage — leaping from instrument to instrument like it’s second nature.

Sander Streumer
Sander discovered his passion for guitar at a young age, inspired by the great rock and blues legends. Over the years, he developed his own style that blends solid rock riffs with melodic finesse. Having played in several bands and projects, Sander has grown into a versatile musician who feels at home on any stage. His dedication, energy, and love for live music shine through in every performance, making him not just a guitarist, but a true storyteller through strings.

Peter Hempenius
Peter began his musical journey on the piano, but soon traded it for the guitar. As a teenager, he built his own “Petercaster” and started writing songs inspired by Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, and Nirvana. After years of touring with a reggae band, a life-changing adventure in Mexico, and a vibrant spell in the funky-soul scene, he went on to shape roots rock projects like Lapa Loca and Terrible Dancers. Today, Peter rocks with Flashback Fools while embracing his passion for country music in Don’t Be Stupid—a love sparked by country radio during his recent two-year stay in California.

René Bremer
For more than 30 years, René played guitar across the three northern provinces of the Netherlands in a “Top 100” party band. By the end of those three decades, the music scene had changed—or perhaps he had—and he no longer felt at home in that part of the music world.
He decided to step away from music completely. But, as the saying goes, “old habits die hard.” Out of sheer curiosity, he bought a pedal steel guitar, and from that moment on he was hooked on the instrument’s seemingly endless possibilities. At the same time, an old love resurfaced: COUNTRY music.
“And here we are,” as the Americans like to say—a Shania Twain Tribute Band.

Carmen Jacobs
Carmen’s musical journey began with classical violin, but everything changed when she discovered the fiery world of Gypsy jazz à la Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Since then, she’s improvised her way across jazz festivals worldwide, founded projects like Carmuze, and explored everything from Klezmer and Irish folk to ragtime and Balkan sounds. With her powerful 7-string electric Viper, she broke into the rock scene, while also thriving in theatre, cabaret, and a cappella. Today she continues to reinvent herself—swinging with jazz, grooving with bluegrass, and in Don’t Be Stupid adding violin, keys, percussion, and backing vocals to the mix.
We are looking forward to our first Try Out on December 19th 2025 in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands!! Don’t miss it!
